MLB BASEBALL – TRIBE TAKES 3 OF 4 FROM BIRDS

Cleveland shutout Baltimore 10-0 on Sunday

-Shane Bieber baffled the Birds…becoming the fourth youngest pitcher since at least 1908 (23 years, 323 days old) to strike out 15 hitters with no walks in a shutout (complete game).

-Offensively, Carlos Santana and Mike Freeman each drove in 2 runs to lead the Tribe.  Santana hit a solo homer (his 7th).

-The Indians open up a 3-game series at home tonight versus Oakland.  Game time – 5:35/6:10 pm – LIVE on 95.3 WLKR.  Carlos Carrasco is on the mound tonight for Cleveland.

Lake Erie won 9-2 at Washington Wild Things last night

NBA PLAYOFFS – EAST FINALS – LAST NIGHT

Toronto beat Milwaukee 118-112 in 2-OTs – Game 3 – Milwaukee leads series 2-1

-Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors with 36 points, including making 12 of 13 free throws.

NBA PLAYOFFS – WEST FINALS – TONIGHT

Golden State at Portland (9:00 pm) – Game 4 – Golden State leads series 3-0

-The Warriors are off to the NBA Finals once again if they win tonight.   

NBA NEWS – CAVS ADD ASSISTANT COACH TO BEILEIN’S STAFF

Former Memphis Grizzlies head coach J.B. Bickerstaff is joining new Cleveland Cavaliers’ head coach John Beilein’s staff as an assistant in the role of associate head coach. The hiring looks to help ease Beilein’s transition to the NBA from college hoops.

-Bickerstaff was fired last month by the Grizzlies after a 33-49 season.

NHL HOCKEY PLAYOFFS – WEST FINAL – FROM SUNDAY 

St. Louis shutout San Jose 5-0 – Game 5 – St. Louis leads series 3-2

-Game 6 is Tuesday night at St. Louis

MEN’S GOLF – PGA CHAMPIONSHIP WRAPS UP AT BETHPAGE ON SUNDAY

Brooks Koepka won his second straight PGA Championship…finishing with an -8 score

-Koepka had a 7-shot lead heading into Sunday’s final round; but allowed Dustin Johnson to pull within 1 stroke.

-Koepka was able to pull out a 2-stroke win over second place Johnson (-6) in the end.

NASCAR RACING – LARSON WINS TWICE ON SATURDAY

Kyle Larson was the big winner on Saturday night in Charlotte, taking home the checkered flag in both the Monster Energy Open and the All-Star Race. 

-The Monster Energy Open victory secured a spot for Larson to compete in the All-Star Race; which Larson claimed the victory and the $1 million in prize money.

-The All-Star Race also featured some fisticuffs on pit road between Clint Bowyer and Ryan Newman.
