Norwalk/Circle K armed robber sent to prison

A 29-year-old man is going to jail for 3 years in connection with the robbery of the Norwalk Circle K in March of 2017.

Authorities say that Norwalk’s Timothy Moore-the 2nd demanded money from a cashier after walking into the store with a baseball bat.

 

Sandusky County/Clyde man involved in multi-injury crash

Six people were hurt Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Sandusky County.

According to the Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Steven Harkey of Clyde ran a stop sign where he struck a minivan driven by 48-year-old Kelly Croy of Oak Harbor with his wife Lorrain and three daughters as passengers.

All involved were taken to a Toledo hospital where their conditions are unknown.

Harkey was cited for running the stop sign at the intersection of West Portage River South Road and Ohio 590 in Elmore.

 

Danbury/Police officer recently suspended for reckless op

A Danbury police officer was recently suspended seven days without pay after his driver’s license was suspended for driving irresponsibly.

Brad LaMarca was found guilty of reckless operation in July of 2017.

LaMarca, whose license is suspended through early 2019, has been given limited driving privileges while working.

 

State News/Deadline today to vote in primary election

The deadline to register to vote in next month’s primary election is tonight by 9:00 pm.

If you’re 18 and a U.S. citizen, you can stop by a number of locations including your county board of elections or library for registration forms.

You can also register online at www.myohiovote.com.

The primary election takes place Tuesday, May 8th.

 

Sandusky/Warrant out for sister of woman found in hotel room covered in dog excrement

A warrant was issued late last week for the sister of the woman found this past week with a child and dogs in a Sandusky hotel room covered in dog excrement.

25-year-old Lindsey Powell, an apparent dog breeder, faces a charge of obstructing official business as police say she mislead them as they investigated complaints involving dogs at her Sandusky home.

Powell’s sister, Dezeray, has been charged with child endangering and animal cruelty.

 

Monroeville-Bellevue/Teen gaining fame for ATV riding

A Monroeville Middle School boy has been selected to be a character in a video game.

13-year-old Aidan Goodwin of Bellevue, an ATV freestyle motocross rider, has been ranked as one of the top 10 riders in the country.

Goodwin will appear in the game “MX vs. ATV: All Out” on Playstation 4 and XBox One.

Goodwin will appear at a video game signing event at the GameStop store in Norwalk this Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

 

Erie County/Two local men part of Broadway musical

Two natives of Erie County are involved in a big hit on Broadway in the Big Apple.

Perkins High School grad, 32-year-old Timothy Koch is a resident director for the musical “Frozen”, based on the Disney movie.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old John Riddle, a 2008 Vermilion grad; acts and sings in the musical as the character of “Hans”.
