Sandusky/Columbus PD searching for suspect in Sandusky grad’s death

Police in Columbus are closing in on a man they believe killed a Sandusky High School grad.

Authorities have filed a warrant for the arrest of 20-year-old Traquan Workman of Columbus, a person of interest in the death of Sandusky native, 46-year-old Donovan Clemens.

According to police, Clemens was a victim of an “apparent robbery, turned deadly”.

 

Collins-Wakeman/Western Reserve girls’ hoops coach suspended

As the Western Reserve girls basketball team prepares for a “sweet 16” tournament matchup tonight, their head coach will continue to be absent.

Laura Pierson has been suspended since early February for alleged inappropriate behavior concerning text messages with her players.

The Lady Riders take on Amanda-Clearcreek tonight in Lexington at 7:00 pm; their first trip to the regionals since the 2011-12 season.

 

Milan/Edison Schools not in favor of arming students

Edison Schools are not interested in arming their teachers.

Sandusky City Schools have also nixed the idea.

 

Sandusky/Man arrested following standoff

A Sandusky man was arrested Tuesday after he reportedly barricaded himself inside a West Adams Street home and allegedly made threats to shoot police.

31-year-old Justin Sattler has been charged with felony burglary, inducing panic and obstructing official business.

 

Norwalk/Former chief recognized by council

Last night, city Council in Norwalk honored recently retired police Chief Dave Light.

A resolution was passed commending Light for his 34-years of full-time service.

The search is still on for his replacement, as Captain Mike Conney serves as interim chief.

 

Sandusky/Cedar Point tickets increasing

Ticket prices are going up at Cedar Point.

Adult, single-day tickets at the gate will cost $72 in 2018, a $5 increase from 2017.
