-Cleveland is facing the team they reacquired guard and fan-favorite Matthew Dellavedova from in a trade on Friday – sending George Hill to the Bucks.

NFL FOOTBALL – BROWNS WIN, PANTHERS DROP FIFTH IN A ROW

Cleveland defeated Carolina 26-20 on Sunday afternoon

-Baker Mayfield threw for 238 yards and a TD as the Browns improved to 3-2 under interim head coach Gregg Williams.  It took Williams just 5 games to match former head coach Hue Jackson’s win total over two-plus seasons.

-Jarvis Landry had a TD catch of 51 yards and a TD run of 3 yards.

-The Browns are now 5-7-1.  They’ll next play this Saturday night at Denver.

Chicago beat the L.A. Rams 15-6 in the Sunday night game (Rams Todd Gurley limited to 28 yards rushing on 11 carries)

Miami beat New England 34-33

-In what’s being called “The Miami Miracle”, the Dolphins – with 16 seconds left – connected on a 69-yard pass and double lateral play for the TD as time expired.

-The play put a damper on a career feat for Tom Brady; as Brady broke the NFL record for career touchdown passes including postseason (582).

Kansas City beat Baltimore 27-24 (Patrick Mahomes: 377 yards/2 TDs, Chiefs now 11-2)

New Orleans defeated Tampa Bay 28-14(Saints up their record to 11-2)

Indianapolis beat Houston 24-21 (Texans win streak snapped at 9 games)

L.A. Chargers defeated Cincinnati 26-21(Phillip Rivers: 220 yards & TD for Chargers)

Oakland beat Pittsburgh 24-21 (Raiders QB Derek Carr: 322 yards & 2 TDs)

Detroit won 17-3 at Arizona (Lions are now 5-8 on the season)

Dallas beat Philadelphia 29-23 in OT (Zak Prescott: 455 yards passing & 3 TDs, Amari Cooper with 10 catches for 217 yards & 3 TDs for Cowboys)

MLB BASEBALL NEWS – NAP RETIRES, HALL OF FAMERS NAMED

Former Cleveland Indians slugger Mike Napoli announced his retirement over the weekend.  Napoli, who made 3 World Series trips in his 13-year career, was a clubhouse and fan favorite in Cleveland during the Tribe’s trip to the fall classic in 2016.  The 2016 was arguably the best season of his career – crushing 34 homers and driving in 101 runs.

-Two former stars who starter their careers in Chicago have been elected to the Hall of Fame.  Both White Sox hitter Harold Baines and Cubs closer Lee Smith were named to the class of 2019 via the “Today’s Game Era Committee”.
