NBA – CAVS GET HOME WIN

Cleveland beat Phoenix 111-98 last night

-Cedi Osman had 19 points for the Cavs including 5 made three-pointers while Kevin Love scored 16 points with 3 three-pointers along with 11 rebounds.

-Cleveland is back in action on Saturday night; at home against Memphis.

NBA NEWS – SPACE JAM 2 RELEASE DATE SET

The release date has been set for the highly anticipated ‘Space Jam 2’ movie starring LeBron James and Bugs Bunny.

-It will arrive in theatres on July 16th, 2021…four months prior to the 25th anniversary of the original “Space Jam” starring Michael Jordan.

WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL – BUCKEYES PICK UP ROAD VICTORY

Ohio State won 77-70 at Michigan State last night

-Carly Santoro scored 15 points for the Buckeyes, who are now 13-12 on the season.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL NEWS – SYRACUSE COACH BOEHEIM/FATAL ACCIDENT

Syracuse veteran head coach Jim Boeheim was reportedly involved in a car accident that killed a 51-year-old man that was on the road while surveying his disabled vehicle.  ESPN reports that the 74-year-old Hall of Fame head coach struck the victim with his car while trying to avoid the vehicle the man was a passenger in that had been involved in a prior crash due to ice.

-Syracuse Police Chief Kenton Buckner said in a news conference that he doesn’t expect any charges to be filed.

-Boeheim and the other car’s driver both passed sobriety tests.
