Storms spawned three tornadoes in northeast Ohio yesterday.

One touched down in eastern Lorain County, and was on the ground for about seven miles, into northern Medina County. Another twister touched down in Medina County’s Hinckley Township. A number of trees were uprooted by the tornadoes, and some homes sustained minor damage, along with a water treatment plant.  A third tornado touched down near Canfield, in Mahoning County.  All three twisters were classified as EF-1 tornados, with 94 mile per hour winds. Closer to home, it was just rain, but a lot in a short amount of time. Norwalk and Bellevue received more than two-and-a-quarter inches.
