A Huron County Jail inmate was flown to the University of Toledo Medical Center, after jumping from a mezzanine.

23-year-old Daniel Legg was injured Friday night, after falling 28 feet. Officials are investigating.

A New London man has been arrested, for allegedly soliciting sex from a 13-year-old girl.

26-year-old Elliot Shepherd II is charged with importuning, a fifth degree felony punishable by up to one year in prison. He’s currently free on bond. The alleged incident involving Shepherd and the girl occurred the weekend of October 19th. She’s from Ashland County, but the offense occurred in Huron County. Shepherd’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday, in Norwalk Municipal Court.

Norwalk’s East Elm Street, between Benedict and Linwood will be closed today, tomorrow and Wednesday, for gas line relocation.

The work is being done, to prepare for intersection widening.

Norwalk police will be out in full force through Friday, looking for impaired drivers.

Curtis Clinton is facing death by lethal injection, in connection with the September, 2012 deaths of Heather Jackson and her two young children. The trial could last several weeks.
