There’s a Flash Flood Watch in effect for the entire area until 8 tonight.

The Huron County Auditor’s Office and Map Department will be closed this Wednesday between 10:30am and 2:30pm.


Drug charges have been filed against a Monroeville man, after a raid of his Sandusky St. apartment.

20-year-old Kurt Fahler was taken to the Huron County Jail, after the Friday morning raid. According to Monroeville police chief Gary Lyons, members of the Huron County Drug Task Force found psychedelic mushrooms, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. More charges are possible.


Electrical problems may have caused a weekend house fire on Peru-Olena Road.

Nearly 40 firefighters were called to the Norwalk-area home early Saturday morning. The family got out safely, but a pet cat died in the blaze. Early damage estimates have come in at nearly $150,000.


Work should be complete soon along State Route 61 in Norwalk and points south.

Crews are working on four different bridge structures.  According to ODOT, the project is scheduled to be complete by late July.


Nearly two dozen Ohio firefighters are on their way to help fight forest fires in Utah.

They’ll spend two weeks out west, providing relief to crews trying to protect thousands of acres of woodlands. Some of the firefighters work in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ forestry division, while others are specially-trained local firefighters.


Tomorrow’s meeting of Norwalk City Council has been canceled.

The next meeting will be July 30th.


The former head of the Huron County Democratic Party has died.

Patrick Saunders passed away Friday, at age 65. Saunders served as chairman of the Huron County Democratic Party from 1994 until 2001.


Officials continue to investigate Friday’s mishap that injured seven people at Cedar Point.

They were hurt, when a boat capsized on the water ride ‘Shoot The Rapids.’  All seven riders were treated by Cedar Point EMS. One was taken to Firelands Regional Medical Center.


To northeast Ohio, where a sex offender is suspected of killing three women.

35-year-old Michael Madison is accused of stuffing their bodies in trash bags in East Cleveland.


Cleanup continues in Pepper Pike after an EF-1 tornado touched down before dawn Saturday.

The twister caused severe damage to a gym at Ursuline College.
