The Shiloh man accused of killing his father, then fleeing the state, has been charged by a Richland County grand jury.

29-year-old Brandon Lawrence is facing charges of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery, along with grand theft auto and tampering with evidence. He was arrested March 9th in Missouri, a few days after his father, 48-year-old Michael Lawrence was shot and killed in his Planktown Road home. Family members told deputies they hadn’t seen or heard from the elder Lawrence in several days.

The district is eliminating three jobs—the Director of transportation, buildings and grounds; a maintenance employee, and a study hall monitor. Those cuts will save about $200,000 a year.

A reminder…The 2013 National ‘Click It or Ticket’ seat belt enforcement effort is underway.

A change, involving this year’s Berlin Heights Basket Festival.

Don’t forget…If you have questions or concerns about a proposed wind farm in Greenwich Township, there’s an informational meeting scheduled for 6pm tonight, at South Central High School.

If all goes as planned, construction could begin later this year.

Coming to Ohio, this weekend…The National Onion Ring eating championship.

It’ll be held Sunday, in Coshocton. One of the contestants will be the country’s top-ranked competitive eater, Jamie “The Bear” McDonald. He just broke a world record, by eating more than 11 pounds of apple pie in 10 minutes.

For the second time in three years, the Cleveland Cavaliers have won the NBA’s draft lottery.

That means the Cavs have the top overall pick, in next month’s draft. Two years ago, the team used the #1 pick, to select point guard Kyrie Irving.
